The Influence of Resection Size and Pringle Maneuver on Operating Time and Intraoperative Bleeding in Patients with Colorectal Metastases in the Liver

BACKGROUND: The extent of the resection, whether clamped or non-clamping resection is factor that influences operating time and intraoperative bleeding, development modern techniques for vascular control determine lesser blood loss, morbidity, mortality. AIM: aim this study was to experience General Hepatobiliary Surgery Clinic at Aleksandrovska Hospital Sofia, Republic Bulgaria in treatment patients with colorectal metastases liver compare literature reports on influence Pringle maneuver (IPM) perioperative bleeding. MATERIALS AND METHODS: This retrospective covers period from January 01, 2006, until December 31, 2015. A total 239 were included, which: 179 treated radical surgery, 5 palliative intervention, 55 subjected operability exploration. RESULTS: use IPM insignificantly influenced prolonged operative time, while loss significantly lower <15 min. There no association between type, greater major resection. CONCLUSION: Resection size directly proportional but it does not morbidity. group
